Stretch Yourself

It’s a snowy and cold day here in Southern Colorado, a beautiful sight and the perfect setting for following up on to-do’s and projects. This month I’ve been making friends with new technology to help me run my business; a new computer, a new telephone,new software and a pretty big learning curve. Honestly, it would be easier to continue doing things the way I have for years but I know that the time I’m investing in designing new structures will outweigh any temporary inconvenience. Designing new systems, creating new habits and learning new skills are often disruptive. We often say no to the things we really want in life BECAUSE they are disruptive.

We are well into our first season of 2010, which ends on March 31st. Did you set your goals for this season? Did you e-mail me so that I can include them on my Victory Board? This month I’ve been stretching myself, and I’d like to challenge you to do the same. Is there a goal you’ve been ignoring? You know the one I mean, the goal that lurks in the corner of your awareness and causes your heart to speed up. The goal you’d really like to go after…if only. The goal that will cause you to stretch, and may even feel disruptive. I challenge you to put THAT goal on the Victory Board this month, even if you don’t believe you can accomplish it.
